My Inspiration

My purpose is to create paintings that will enrich people’s lives.

The diversity of nature is there to inspire everyone .

Wherever I go, my camera is a constant companion. Where the camera captures the moments, my paintings capture the emotions.

I like to take something perceived as common and transform it in a way to delight the viewer – often larger than life. I wish to recreate in detail, the beauty and wonder of nature.

About Me

I live in Canberra, the capital of Australia. This is a city of contrasts where there are the facilities of a busy city and the life style of a large country town. It is a very relaxing place to live, with the flora and fauna of our country literally at the front foor.

Painting has been a passion all my life. I started out painting with oils and then discovered the fun and diversity of acrylics. Later I was introduced to china painting otherwise known as onglaze painting. Along the way I have worked with ceramics and underglaze painting.

Each painting medium lends a little of itself to the others and I have enjoyed the opportunities of experimentation. Part of the experimentation has lead me to the world of teaching. Students are wonderful inspiration to get the creativity working.
